While the degradation of civilization continues in a downward spiral in Ferguson, Missouri after the killing of Michael Brown a group of clergy have stepped up to place their actions in line with their sermons.
Placing themselves between the angry protesters and the police, these men and women of god have donned their peacekeeping hats in an effort to keep these two upset factions from going full tilt into violent assaults between one another.
Further escalating the situation was the arrival of the National Guard but one of the clergymen, Bishop Derrick Robinson of the Kingdom Destiny Church, opened up a line of communication with the police and the National Guard unit that was activated and sent into Ferguson.
Said Bishop Robinson
I was just trying to keep everybody calm, letting them know that hey, they’re here to protect us, not to harm us, they’re here to guard us…
The police and National Guard were clad in riot gear, raising fear and tension within the crowds of the local community – coming close to another riot, but the church leaders have managed to keep both parties at bay and reduce the tensions armed only with a bullhorn.
