End Times whackjob Rick Wiles isn’t known for looking on the bright side of things — being dour is expected when you’re trying (and failing) to predict the end of the world — but he offered a “promising” silver lining to the recent Ebola outbreak.
Well, “promising” in the sense that it’d make the sociopaths in the Religious Right happy.
Wiles believes an outbreak of Ebola in the United States could be a good thing — providing it ends up giving an “attitude adjustment” to all the gays and atheists, along with people who use explicit adult materials or have had an abortion.
“Now this Ebola epidemic can become a global pandemic and that’s another name for plague. It may be the great attitude adjustment that I believe is coming,” he said. “Ebola could solve America’s problems with atheism, homosexuality, sexual promiscuity . . . and abortion.”
“If Ebola becomes a global plague, you better make sure the blood of Jesus is upon you, you better make sure you have been marked by the angels so that you are protected by God. If not, you may be a candidate to meet the Grim Reaper.”
I haven’t seen anything that upbeat and hopeful since American Psycho. That’s the spirit; look on the bright side of life, Wiles:
Wiles previously tied Obama to the Ebola virus, warning that the president might be intentionally spreading it, which quite possibly makes Wiles the only man on the planet who was against Ebola before he supported it.
