Approximately 100 homeless people in Pasadena California were approached by a man offering to pay them each $40 to buy two new iPhones for him to resell abroad. Apple limits customers to just two phones each.
He sweetened the deal by promising additional fun incentives including pizza, soda and cigarettes to those waiting in line all night to purchase the iPhone 5S and 5C on his behalf.
Guess the real Apple geniuses are sitting outside the store.
Other retailers, including Wal-Mart will be carrying the new, less expensive versions. These phones are reported to have a better camera and utilize fingerprint sensor recognition.
Hopefully, that is the only use of the finger involved in this entire transaction.
Disclosure of the conditions of the facilities making Apple products has not seemed to have abated the American lust for this brand. Neither has the fact that so many jobs for Apple have been sent oversees during times of record profits.
