Conservative pundit Pat Buchanan is upset about the partisan way the President is handling the ramifications of the Republicans shutting down the federal government.
So he went on the clearly non-biased forum of Fox News to distribute blame.
And it must be repeated every day, all day long: It was the GOP, lead by a group of especially crazed politicians who brought the country to this endgame.
Even though a majority of citizens recognize that this situation is the fault of the Republicans, not enough do. And certain outlets, like Fox News, will distort the shutdown to make it everyone else’s fault.
Buchanan said that the President’s words and actions are upsetting world markets and affecting the economy. Of course if the Congress doesn’t allow our country to pay its bills by raising the debt ceiling soon, that could no doubt generate some financial panic.
Appearing with Fox News commentator Sean Hannity, Buchanan is shocked…SHOCKED that the President is using scare tactics like saying Social Security checks might be affected.
If you furlough federal workers, then this is a possible scenario.
But what really has Buchannan outraged is the fact that veterans had difficulty accessing the WW II Memorial. Again this occurred because the government has been shut down. And thus, no federal workers available to keep this monument open.
When an irresponsible cadre of elected officials hate government, want less of it, feel policy is an intrusion and federal workers don’t deserve consideration when their salaries are put into abeyance, then parks get closed.
To complain about the President is like saying you had a fight in a bar, hit some guy and he had the audacity to start bleeding.
