Don’t look now, but the white people are a-scared again! While the bastion of conservative delusion, Breitbart, often pretends that it cares about more than the conservative, white American, Fox News contributor Peter Morici penned a refreshingly honest op-ed entitled, “Whites Face a government Working against Their Interests and Their Children’s” that shows the Breitbart crowd to be a product of their irrational fears of dark people.
Morici claimed, falsely, that President Obama granted “de facto amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants brought to America as children and those who are parents of children with legal status.” The reality, of course, is that the President instructed immigration authorities to target undocumented immigrants who are criminals rather than families. This may make sense to anyone who would rather have a family of three who works and pays taxes, than a violent criminal who hopped the border to start anew. “We’ll prioritize, just like law enforcement does every day,” Obama said of his executive action — and this is hardly a free pass.
Those who qualify will be able to stay temporarily for three years, if they pass background checks and pay back taxes. They will not be offered federal benefits of health care, and will not be eligible for citizenship. “If you meet the criteria, you can come out of the shadows and get right with the law. If you’re a criminal, you’ll be deported. If you plan to enter the U.S. illegally, your chances of getting caught and sent back just went up,” the President said.
Unfortunately, Morici does not consider liberal propaganda (the rest of us call it “facts”) to be of any import. “Polls indicate the overwhelming majority of whites view illegal immigration as threatening,” he continued. “Many see immigrants as taking jobs from native-born Americans, pushing down wages and contributing to cultural decline.”
“While many may silently harbor racial bigotry,” he said, “the adverse economic consequences for whites are real and palpable.”
Despite President Obama’s plan to disenfranchise white people, Morici said, “white voters still account for about 70 of the eligible voters, and given their particular dominance in more-sparsely populated states and the south, Republicans will likely continue to hold the House and Senate most of the time,” surprisingly admitting that the Republican party is the party of Caucasians.
“Still, the Constitution does not provide white Americans with a remedy when a president bypasses congress and abuses executive power to satisfy a constituency that puts its agenda above the rule of law,” Morici complained. “Whites face a government that is explicitly working against their interests, the economic prospects of their children, and democratic processes they have spent more than 200 years defending.”
Obviously, the crowd ate this horrible screed up, with many seizing the opportunity to spew their vile hate-speech.
Keep it classy, conservatives. Keep it classy.
