UPDATE FROM MSN: BOSTON — News outlets reported Wednesday a suspect was in custody in the Boston Marathon bombings but later backed off as conflicting information emerged.
A law enforcement official told The Associated Press a suspect was due to appear in federal court. The official spoke Wednesday shortly after several media outlets reported that a suspect had been identified from surveillance video taken at a Lord & Taylor store between the two bomb blasts.
CNN, AP, Fox News, Reuters, are reporting that an arrest has been made in the Boston bombings investigation based on two videos showing images of the suspect. There are still conflicting reports, details still emerging. Stay tuned for more updates.
