Bill O’Reilly is MAD…yeah, we know! Hard to believe, but O’Reilly, long known for his sober, “just the facts” delivery of hard news, has finally been driven to anger. And who, you might ask, could be responsible for relentlessly driving America’s Most Unbiased Journalist to such unseemly displays of emotion? Of course, none other…LIBERALS!!!
Yes, the Man it’s Impossible to Parody took a page from Obama’s playbook, and took a day off of vacation to give his take on The Truth About Ferguson.
“I came back from vacation because I am furious, furious, about how the shooting death of 18-year-old Michael Brown is being reported, and how various people are reacting to it.”
O’Reilly went on to talk about the looting in Ferguson dishonoring the memory of Brown, and disgracing his family. He made the point that 74 out of the 78 people arrested for looting weren’t from Ferguson; rather, they were outsiders who saw an opportunity to pillage a community in turmoil. A fair enough point…but a pointless one. Rather, the true source of O’Reilly’s angst seems to be other media outlets, particularly (shocking) NBC.
Speaking of Al Sharpton’s appearance and speech, O’Reilly was angry that NBC had paid him to “deliver garbage” at the event. When Sharpton said “we have had enough,” O’Reilly responded:
“Enough of what, Al? POLICE EFFICIENCY?” He talks about the number of police shootings vs arrests. “Al Sharpton has the nerve to insult our police community, men and women risking their lives to protect us.”
“This charlatan has the gall to do that, and NBC News is paying him. Why is this acceptable? My God…what is that acceptable?”
Pause video at 4:13 for best expression ever. To answer your question with a question, Bill…why does Fox “News” pay you to insult government officials? Why is that acceptable?
He also called an MSNBC host an “agitator” for saying that there is a “war on black people. In my opinion, there is a war on African American men…it is deplorable that the United States of America allows black boys to be murdered.” O’Reilly responds:
“Black boys being murdered? In the context of Ferguson? Are you kidding me? The truth is that 91 percent of black homocide victims are killed by other blacks.“
Dear God, Bill…you’re right. Guess blacks are just violent people. That proves it, pretty much conclusively. Well, except for the fact that 86 percent of whites are killed by other whites. Wow…it’s almost as though blacks and whites don’t mix that often.
Democratic platform for 2016: “Desegregation of murder.”
“The story the racial agitators in Ferguson are using is ‘hands up, don’t shoot!’…to the race hustlers, Officer Wilson is already guilty. They’ve convicted him. Their slogan is ‘no justice, no peace.’ I guess that’s lynch mob justice, because those people will never accept anything other than a conviction of murder in this case.”
O’Reilly then went on to bash Sharpton, oddly praise Obama, and not-so-subtly mention that Eric Holder was “certainly sympathetic” to Michael Brown. Which isn’t something you want of the person leading the investigation into his murder. He wrapped up the segment with a subtle reference to OJ Simpson, whose acquittal was celebrated or condemned along racial lines in much the same way that Wilson’s trial will certainly be.
And since Bill mentioned OJ, let’s see if we can transfer O’Reilly and FOX’s opinion about the Michael Brown shooting atop a contemporary observation of OJ Simpson, from comedian Chris Rock:
FOX: “I’m not sayin’ Wilson should have killed him…but I understand.“
Yeah, that works.
