On last Friday’s Real Time, Bill Maher took on the libertarian movement–whose members have criticized him for abandoning them–and their sociopathic, child killer-admiring, chain-smoking, pill-popping, social security-collecting cult-leader, Ayn Rand. Maher likened libertarians to privileged college kids who never grew up, hilariously flashing a poster of Paul Ryan flexing with some free weights to prove his point.
Maher criticized modern day libertarians as not distinguishable from “selfish pricks” who are unable to discern where government intervention is needed and where it’s not because they worship unfettered free-market capitalism.
Maher also said of Ayn Rand’s books, like her magnum opus Atlas Shrugged:
It’s all stuff that seems really deep when you’re 19-years old.
We could not possibly agree more!
