Sen. Bernie Sanders is the polar opposite of everything Gov. Scott Walker and the Koch brothers stand for. After Sanders defeated Democratic presidential rival Hillary Clinton in Washington State and Alaska with Hawaii’s polls still open, he took aim at Walker and his allies during a rally in Madison, Wisconsin. Sanders found out about his two caucus wins while in Walker’s state.
“Are you ready for a news alert?,” Sanders asked, before breaking the news to his supporters.
PoliticusUSA has the transcript:
Democracy means one person and one vote and whether Gov. Scott Walker likes it or not that is exactly what we are going to bring to every state in this country, including Wisconsin. And I say to Gov. Walker and all of the other cowardly Republican governors if you can not win or participate in a free and fair election where everybody votes, get out of politics and get a new job.
At a time when this country has one of the lowest voter turnouts of any major country on Earth, the idea that Gov. Walker or any other governor would make it harder for people to participate in the political process is beyond comprehension, and together are we not only going to overturn this disastrous Citizens United Supreme Court decision, but we are going to create a situation where everyone in this country eighteen years of age or older who is a citizen will have the right to vote, Scott Walker notwithstanding.
When we have nationally a situation where the Koch brothers and a handful of billionaires. Oh, I forgot. I hope I didn’t offend the governor. I understand that he and the Koch brothers are good pals. But when you have the Koch brothers and a handful of billionaires prepared to spend $900 billion in this election cycle, that my friends is not democracy. That is oligarchy, and we will change that.
I know that our Republican friends and elected officials tremble at the idea of large numbers of Americans participating in the political process. I’ve got bad news for them. That is exactly what is going to happen in this country.

This was the best way Sanders could celebrate his victory with his steady resolve to fight big money pouring into the political process by taking aim at the biggest offenders.
Scott Walker has failed Wisconsin. The Koch brothers have failed this country. Democrats will clean up the mess.
