Some pictures might be worth a thousand words, but this photo of a baby holding a pistol and surrounded by guns needs only one: NOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Unfortunately, that surreal baby-with-guns photo you keep seeing on Facebook is real.
Sure, those football aficionados get crazy sometimes. But one Crimson Tide fan totally went off the deep end and sent a photo of their newborn baby — clad cozily in a fuzzy University of Alabama sleep sack, lying on a cammo blanket, and surrounded by guns — to Clay Travis from Fox Sports’ Outkick the Coverage.
To make things even weirder, the baby clutches a large pistol in its wee little hands, and a dainty, ladylike pink pistol lies at its feet.
Even Travis — who works for pro-gun, pro-second Amendment, ultra-conservative Fox News — thinks this is way over the top, and sarcastically honored it as “Best Alabama Fan Photo of the Year.”
Some people email Outkick asking, “Why does Clay Travis make fun of Alabama fans so much?” The easy answer is because they do sh– that no one else does. Things that no one else even thinks of doing.
Travis then launches into a hilarious list with 11 reasons why he “loves” this Crimson Tide baby with guns photo, which include:
5. The Bama mom saw this photo being taken and she screamed, “Wait!” Then she adjusted the photo so that the rifle was also visible above the baby’s head.
3. The Bama fan will say, “It was unloaded, chill out.” Which is exactly what Bama fans all say right before they accidentally shoot each other.
Other football fans agree. Steve DelVecchio from Larry Brown Sports writes:
Yes, that is a Remington blanket the baby is laying on. And yes, that is a pink hand gun below his or her feet. We have already seen Bama fans get killed for not being upset enough about losses and send death threats to kickers. The last thing we need are babies surrounded by guns.
