In an apparent attempt to make people forget that he’s a racist who wants to impeach the President for quite literally any reason at all, Steve King has taken a play from Jimmy Kimmel’s book and released a video which features the congressman reading mean tweets about himself.
King, who has struggled to link 9/11 (both of them) to Barack Obama, embarrassed even Rand Paul by belittling immigration activists, and asserted that racial profiling during the Ferguson protests was not an issue because demonstrators are “of a single continental origin,” rattled off some of the tweets that have been directed at him — with the help of his loving wife.
“I hate and despise you and the world hates you too,” read one tweet. “Not a fan,”
Another, delivered by Marilyn King, read “I bet Steve King smells like mothballs and dusty Bibles.”
