Conservatives love to pretend that Obamacare is a disaster. They spread the memes and “news” stories within their hermetically sealed echo chamber, so it appears to be every bit the trainwreck they wish it was.
This lasts right up until they exit their bubble and expect the rest of us to play along. Since most people never got the memo, maintaining the “Obamacare’s a disaster” narrative isn’t important to them.
Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers learned this firsthand when, on the fifth anniversary of Obamacare, she issued a call on her official Facebook page for horror stories about the Affordable Care Act.
What she got was anything but:
Congressman Jim Reid even dropped in to say hello to his fellow congressperson, and to request that she and her fellow Republicans stop trying to repeal Obamacare:
Make it better? That’d prove the government could work and by God, we’re not having any of that in this country.
I often joke that the walls of their little bubble are a rheopectic non-Newtonian fluid, but really, they have to be a titanium-alloy to withstand this sort of beating time and time again.
