Recently, the Ku Klux Klan promised to use “lethal force” against people protesting the murder of unarmed African-American teen Michael Brown.
“You have awakened a sleeping giant,” a Klan flyer reads. “The good people of St. Louis County of all races, colors and creeds will not tolerate your threats of violence against our police officers, their families and our communities.” The KKK promises “consequences” and the use of “lethal force” against African-American protesters.
Naturally, this did not please the hacktivist group Anonymous, who took it upon themselves to take the hoods off the Klansmen making threats, and take down KKK web sites.
Anonymous began posting photos of de-hooded Klan members, one of whom was spotted in a photo taken at a rally supporting Officer Darren Wilson:
As for the web site of the Traditionalist American Knights, well…Let’s just say it was unreachable for a time:
Anonymous also posted a video that appears to show Officer Darren Wilson in the process of violating someone’s civil rights. A man was recording an officer who appears to be Wilson, leading the cop to threaten to “lock his ass up” simply for documenting an incident.
When the man filming asked if he has the right to record, the officer the poster alleges to be Wilson, who does appear to be, indeed, Michael Brown’s killer, replied “No, you don’t.”
Wilson was terminated from his first police job after the department was determined to be unsalvageable because of the rampant corruption and racism within the Jennings PD. It is unclear if Wilson will be indicted but, if he is not, the Ferguson Police Department has stated its intent to “immediately” reinstate him.
It’s also a virtual certainty that protests will continue.
