One thing we can always count on with the right-wing Queen of Nasty, Ann Coulter to do is to stretch the limits of decency a bit further every time it seems that she can say nothing more outrageous than she already has.
Appearing on the Lars Larson show last week she weighed in on the “non-existent” rape on college campuses saying that there is almost no rape in this country much less on college campuses. She knows this is true because unless there is extreme physical violence it was not rape, suggesting that when a woman is plied with alcohol and other drugs to make her unable to resist, it was consensual and not rape. Apparently, in her mind, if a man happens upon an unconscious woman and decides to have his way with her it wasn’t rape — after all, he wasn’t the one who knocked her out.
“People know what a rape is, and to have girls trying to get attention from Lena Dunham to this poor psychotic at UVA, Lady Gaga claiming she was raped but she didn’t admit it to herself for five years. What major crime do people say, ‘I didn’t admit it to myself’?'” she asked.
She said that she doesn’t know anyone who has been raped but she does have a very few friends who have and “two of the three it was in foreign countries.” Suggesting that there may be rape in other countries but not in the U.S. where everything is just peachy at all times, we don’t have that sort of person here, we are the only civilized country on the planet.
It is hard to understand why a woman who has been raped would not confide in such a warm and caring person as Coulter, one would think she is the first person they would seek out to share the trauma and humiliation with.
She did admit that there is rape on college campuses but that is always committed by liberals, of course.
“Now we seem to be going through a rape hysteria that is based on nothing,” she said. “Yeah, there are a few, very few percentage of actual rapists and as I said on Hannity but his idiot producer cut it, they’re usually Clintons or Kennedys.”
