Well that didn’t last long.
Jones said that the shooting was a false flag operation against the patriot movement, designed to make them look bad (because Jones is apparently under the delusion they need help in that regard). In a piece published on Jones’ site Infowars, writer Kurt Nimmo accused the Millers of being government agents, saying that the use of the Gadsden flag to cover the slain officers was part of a government set up. According to Nimmo, the Millers were either government agents, or the government inserted the flag after the fact, as a way to highlight their political leanings.
At the same time that the Nimmo piece went up, Jones went on his radio show to accuse President Obama and Mark Zuckerberg of planting certain items on Jerad Miller’s Facebook profile. The items that Jones accuses Obama and Zuckerberg of planting are ones that align Miller with the so-called “patriot movement,” which is anything but and chocked full of dangerous gun-wielding lunatics. As if that wasn’t enough, Jones had the nerve to manipulate the tragedy and make himself look like the victim, saying that Obama and Zuckerberg did it to make his movement look bad.
It’s not like Miller was affiliated with Infowars or anything; he only wrote a piece for the website back in 2012 asking whether or not people should kill police officers. Of course, Jones would likely argue that Miller was an Obama plant from the beginning, and then go chasing after the White Rabbit to join the Tea Party in Wonderland.
The shooting comes on the heels of an announcement by the DOJ that they were going to reactivate the Domestic Terrorism Executive Committee, with the task of monitoring home-grown terrorists. It seems like the announcement couldn’t come at a soon enough date.
