The streets just are not safe anymore. Rumors are swirling that The Penguin, the Riddler, and their minions have terrible, terrible things in store for
San Francisco Gotham City. The people are frightened. They need a hero. They need someone to step up and tell the bad guys that we just won’t take it anymore! Fortunately, today, Bat Kid is on the scene!
It all began with a wish.
5 year old Miles is no stranger to overcoming staggering challenges. Miles, who has lived most of his life with Leukemia, has bravely fought his entire life to stave off his affliction. In fact, this kid is such a badass that even Leukemia shudders in fear. His affliction is in remission, hiding in the city’s shadows, afraid to face the adorable superhero.
Miles expressed his desire to “be Batkid” innocently enough on San Francisco’s Make a Wish web site. Little did Miles know that his expression would lead to him becoming the target of every supervillain in the city! Today, this adorable boy will get his wish, and will spend today saving Gotham City from destruction.
Miles has been training hard for the action! Miles spent yesterday at his secret hideout (the Circus Center in San Francisco) honing his tumbling and acrobatics skills so that he can better protect the city in what is sure to be an eventful day.
Miles’ adventure will begin with a “BREAKING NEWS” story seeking the whereabouts of “Bat Kid.” From there, Miles will join Batman in a day of fighting crime. Together, the crime fighting duo will have their work cut out for them. Rumors are swirling that the Riddler plans to rob a downtown vault. After they stop the Riddler’s evil plan, Batkid will enjoy lunch at the Burger Bar.
Unfortunately, a superhero can’t even eat in peace! The police chief will send Batkid an urgent message, asking him to look out the window. Batkid will see the city’s desperate population begging for his help in rescuing San Francisco mascot Lou Seal from the dastardly clutches of the Penguin, who has been plotting his evil deeds and taunting our pint-sized hero on Twitter.
After rescuing the beloved Giants mascot, Batkid will receive a true honor: The Mayor and Police Chief of Gotham City will present Batkid with the key to the city, thanking him for his tireless efforts in fighting for justice.
Over 10,000 have signed up to make this the best day of Miles’ life.
We here at AATTP wish Batkid the best of luck in his efforts! We recognize a true hero when we see one, and Miles is exactly that.
