The American Civil Liberties Union released video of a 2012 police shooting in Saginaw, Michigan that left a homeless man dead. A total of eight police officers fired 45 shots, riddling Milton Hall’s body with 14 bullets. Hall, who had stolen a cup of coffee from a local convenience store, was armed with only a pocket knife.
After Hall was already dead, an officer turned the body of the deceased man over, handcuffed him, and put a foot in his back. According to the ACLU, Hall only pulled out the knife because “a police dog began snarling and lunging at” him.
Unfortunately, this sort of thing is quickly becoming the norm. Law enforcement needs some major reforms before it is too late.
