The saga of George Zimmerman continues. Police in Lake Mary, Florida have released a couple of videos surrounding the events of the domestic violence altercation between Zimmerman, his estranged wife Shellie, and Shellie’s father. There have been multiple, conflicting reports about whether Zimmerman — who was acquitted of killing teenager Trayvon Martin in a case that has reawakened the discussion of race in America — was carrying his gun with him or not. The videos released don’t shed any light on that particular subject, but one video clearly shows George destroying an iPad that authorities are now trying to get video of the altercation off of.
Another video shows the actual detainment and handcuffing of Zimmerman. Police also released photos of Shellie’s father, clearly with signs of physical violence on his face. At this point, the video on the broken iPad looks to be the key to whether charges will be filed against George or even Shellie, as George is claiming to have been struck by the iPad, according to police.
