Tuesday night, “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” tackled the age-old question, “Which is the gayest state in the union?”
Okay, so maybe that’s not really an age-old question, but you know if the comedic geniuses over at Comedy Central’s news satire and commentary show are taking on the subject, hilarity will be abundant. In the segment, entitled “Last Gay Standing,” two states — Mississippi and Alabama are the focus of correspondent Al Madrigal’s research into which state will legalize same-sex marriage first. There are appearances from Nate Silver — the man who pretty much wrote the book on election predictions — and either real or fictional gay couples attempting to elicit responses from locals about their homosexuality, or gay marriage, in the two very red states.
You might actually be surprised by the reactions that they got, so we decided to share it with you, courtesy of Comedy Central.
