We’ve said it before, we’ll say it again: Comedians make some of the best commentators in the world of politics. They don’t need to sugarcoat things, and they can cut trhough the rhetoric on both sides like a hot knife through butter. On his show, “Totally Biased,” W. Kamau Bell delivered one of the best rants on Ted Cruz we’ve seen probably ever, and we just had to share it with you. Be forewarned, Bell pulls no punches neither with this vitriol, nor the words he uses to express it.
What set Bell off was the deplorable, condescending and disgusting way that Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) treated the mother of Trayvon Martin’s mother at a Senate hearing on “Stand Your Ground” laws. After playing a clip that showed Cruz referring to Trayvon as “the teenager,” Bell unleashed a torrent of witty, insightful and downright visceral rage toward the Texas Republican.
“His name was Trayvon Martin and you’re talking directly to his mother, so have some god**mn respect, you blobfish-faced fool!” That wasn’t all the ammunition he unloaded on Cruz though. After excoriating Cruz for the way he treats any and everybody that crosses his path, Bell let loose and hit the Canadian-born politician with a fury of comedic slaps that we only wish we could see the look on Cruz’s face as he heard them.
“Why don’t you try something you’ve never tried before? Shut your mouth, you robotic, ham-fisted, self-aggrandizing, grandstanding, insincere, opportunistic, slick, smarmy, unctuous, half-a-game-show host Texas piece of sh*t!”
We think that about sums up Senator Ted Cruz, don’t you? Watch the full clip below, and due to harsh language, viewer discretion is advised.
