How fair and balanced can you claim to be if you won’t run ads on your network criticizing your abhorrent coverage of a news story you ginned-up to get ratings and the hard-right ideologues in this country fired up? The answer is, “not very.”
The folks at Media Matters have written a new book that exposes all the half-truths and outright lies told to Fox News viewers by Fox News broadcasters called “The Benghazi Hoax.” Media Matters also decided that the people who needed to read their book the most were the misinformed viewers of Fox News, so they created a pair of commericals aimed at airing on Fox News, but — surprise, surprise — the brass at the cable news network refused to air them.
David Brock, founder of Media Matters, is the author of the book and he appears in both commercials, speaking plainly into the camera about just how much was made-up and untrue about Fox News’ coverage. We all know why Fox would refuse to air these ads, but we thought we’d share them with you, our readers, in the hopes you’d share them with any Tea Partiers that need an intervention.
