Tennessee State Senator Stacey Campfield is known for being a lightning rod for controversy. He’s the “Don’t Say Gay” politician who suggested that AIDS is nearly impossible to contract from heterosexual sex, and started because some pilot had sex with a monkey and then other men.
Not content to just discriminate against homosexuals, Campfield in typical TEApublican fashion also targets the poor and disadvantaged, including children. Campfield recently introduced a bill to take away food from children by cutting TANF benefits if kids don’t meet certain academic standards.
Campfield didn’t count on a brave little hero called Aamira Fetuga, who followed the degenerate Campfield around the State Capitol. The little girl presented the homophobic bigot with a petition signed by his constituents who opposed the disgusting cuts to the program for needy families.
Aamira got the job done. Campfield decided to withdraw the bill! Even members of his own party began to reject his asinine idea! “You can say that withholding the money from the parents doesn’t harm the child, but you’re fooling yourself,” said Republican Senate Majority Leader Mark Norris.
