Disaster struck the public schools once again as three male students were shot outside of Brashear High School in Pittsburgh, PA. Fortunately, this time, no student was found mortally wounded. Police stated three men in black clothing were reported shooting toward the school. One student was shot and grazed on the leg and foot. Another was struck in the neck and shoulder. The third child was grazed on the side of his head and was quickly pulled back inside the school by an administrator.
Aggressive police force was taken, and the situation was quickly under control. Pittsburgh public safety director Michael Huss stated the scene was safe and officers were directed back to their typical assignments.
Police reported that the three people shot knew the shooter(s). Apparently, the shooting was instigated by a fight near the school in mid-October and is possibly drug related. The school is now on a week long lock-down.
Reports from the hospitals have confirmed that all the victims are in stable condition and are expected to make a full recovery.
